Location
At the center of it all
McKay Tower sits at downtown Grand Rapids most noted intersection.
Serving as the “anchor” of the pedestrian-friendly Monroe Center, and just steps from the vibrant Rosa Parks Circle and elegant Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, the 18-story is one of the premiere landmarks in downtown Grand Rapids.
With entrances at Monroe Center and Pearl Street, and street and garage parking immediately surrounding the building, McKay Tower is also one of the most accessible buildings in downtown (not to mention one of the most photographed!).
Once the tallest building between Detroit and Chicago, McKay Tower’s historic white stone exterior continues to be a beacon of our skyline and one of the most photographed structures – along with other nearby notable landmarks Grand Rapids Art Museum and Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
